• The act of online registration and application submission will be interpreted as the contestant’s knowledge and acceptance of the Competition’s conditions, rules and regulations.
•Accompanists will be provided by Instituto Superior de Arte of the Teatro Colón. The Competitor must not and will not bring his or her own accompanists; he or she must audition with the assigned pianist by the aforementioned entity. •After being selected by the Jury, the 4 semifinalists will not be able to dismiss the commitment of participating in the Final Round Concert, as well as avoid attendance to their scheduled rehearsals. Should the competitor not attend rehearsals, his or her attitude will be contemplated as an act of negligence. When pronounced and registered, such an evaluation is to be irreversible. This event annuls any possibility for the candidate to receive any monetary prizes or recognition for his or her talents and achievements during the Competition.
• Monetary prizes will be paid within 30 days after the Final Concert.

• The Competition Organizers have the right to disqualify any competitor that attempts to contact any of the members of the Jury during the course of the Competition Semifinal and/or Final Rounds.
• The Jury is, under no circumstances, obliged to hear each competitor’s aria from start to finish. The Jury has the right to require singers to only sing fragments of such arias, should the panel think such demonstration sufficient.
• All decisions made by the Jury of the Competition are final and indisputable.
• The Organizers of the Teatro Colón International Singing Competition 2012 reserve the right to permit radial, digital and TV broadcasting of all stages of the competition, including the Final Concert. The same applies to photographic images, video and audio recordings within all available media (online, TV, radio, etc.). Competitors will not receive any compensation for their participation in these recordings, since everything they produce within the context of the Competition is to belong to the Competition.
•Competitors will not be able to reject interviews nor press contact opportunities should the Organizers of the Competition consider it necessary. The administration of the information regarding the advances of the Competition is exclusive property of the Organizers of the Teatro Colón International Singing Competition 2012. Any violation of said principle on behalf of the contestants will lead to subsequent disqualification.
• The Instituto Superior de Arte of the Teatro Colón does not have the obligation to commit to the arrangement of presentations at the main Opera houses of South America. The Organizers commit to generate opportunities with South American Theaters but such opportunities cannot and will not guarantee future presentations.
