FROM MARCH 15TH TO MARCH 21ST

A new Neoclassic Trilogy will allow all dancers from the Permanent Ballet Company to showcase their talent. There will be premieres and revivals: after his successful Technical Fugue, the Belgian Éric Frédéric will present Diamond, and Mauricio Wainrot will stage his version of Rachmaninoff’s famous piece for piano and orchestra; for the first time in the Teatro Colón, director of Aterballetto Mauro Bigonzetti will present his powerful Interlaced Symphony in an ideal combination of technical skill and expressiveness.

As in a game of mirrors, the figures of Odile and Odette trick the mind of prince Siegfried, compelling him to make the wrong choice; but Love will transcend the borders of Life. A classic among classics, Tchaikovsky’s most symphonic ballet returns to crowd the Teatro Colón stage with swans, in a production already premiered by the Permanent Ballet Company in 2013.

FROM AUGUST 23RD TO AUGUST 29TH

Co-founder of the London Royal Ballet Company, the Ecuadorian Frederick Ashton dedicated much of his choreographic works to his muse, Margot Fonteyn. Sylvia was not the exception, and the dance diva starred the London premiere in 1952. The addition of this piece to the Teatro Colón ballet repertoire is a memorable event, resuming contact with Ashton’s refined style, after Margarite et Armand, staged in 2011.

After giving her farewell with the American Ballet Theatre, Paloma Herrera will do so in her home country and in her home theater performing one of the most accomplished works of the 20th Century. Archetype of the theatrical dance, Onegin will be one of the highlights of the season, for its great artistic value and for framing the emotive farewell of such great Argentine dancer, debuting as Tatiana.
